The city of Paris has a long history of commissioning murals to enliven the urban landscape and make art accessible to the public. Along with several other artists I was asked to submit a design for consideration and was thrilled when my design was selected.
My mural can be found at 108 rue Jean-Pierre Timbault, in the 11th arrondissement, in a neighborhood that blends cultures and commerce.
My primary goal was that my work represent the people who live and work in this ever-changing and vibrant area, where many nationalities co-exist.
It was painted by expert muralists (I only ever climbed to the first level of scaffold to sign my name) from my original painting and guaranteed to stay in place for 20 years.
It’s a real pleasure to have my work visible for everyone who passes, and I always hope it brightens someone’s day.
